Caxines, vaines de los vegetales, tales como les fabes, lus arbeyus, les llentexes, etc., etc. (Las habas, los guisantes, las lentejas, etc., etc.).————————Caxinas, así llamamos a una clase de ganado vacuno que es propio de la Región Asturiana. Estas vacas pequeñas y nerviosas, resistentes y bravías, armadas de recia cornamenta, poblaban en los tempus d’endenantes todas las melgueiras aldeas de nuestras montañas. Hoy en día ya no existen tantas vacas caxinas, aquellas vaquinas valientes y ágiles como las mismas cabras, que aguantaban bien el invierno y teníen buena boca y bon rumiaxe (buen rumiaje), que lo mismo comían la paya ya lus foyáus ya ‘l ñarvaxu xin el anu s’allumbraba con envernus d’enxenebrus ya ñeves. (La paja y las hojarascas así como las cañas del maíz, si el año se alumbraba con inviernos helados y nevados). —Era muy difícil que en los puertos y las brañas los lobos pudieran matar a una vaca caxina, porque su bravura y agilidad las armaba con una defensa que las otras vacas no poseen. Les vaques caxines dan escosá lleche, peru bona pa faer manteiga ya criar bonus nenus. (Las vacas casinas suelen dar escasa leche, pero muy buena para hacer manteca y criar sanos y fuertes niños). Apanoyar, nacer las panoyas en los narbaxus de maíz.————————Apanoyar, nacer las panoyas en los ablanéus, en los castañéus, en todos los árboles que tengan panoya.————————Apanoyar, dícese así, cuando en los maíces les está naciendo las mazorcas o panojas. También cuando en los castaños y avellanos está naciendo la flor, se dice que están apanoyando. Ejemplo: —Bunus maizales lluce isti anu l’aldina, peru faía bona falta de que dexare de chover, y'escarrapiétcharen díes solayerus, perque senún, paeme a mín que nun recoyeremus namái que ñarbaxus. (Buenos maizales luce este año la aldeina, pero hacía buena falta que dejase de llover, y escamplasen días solariegos, por que si no, me parece a mí, que no recogeremos nada más que las cañas). —Iste mes de la yerba tenemus que xegar el préu del Castañéu más cedu qu'oitres anus, pos nun sea 'l diañu que s'esgolen les panoyes de lus castañales, y'endespós chemus a perder la yerba, perque 'l ganáu nun quera rucala, se t'entremedada conel panoyaxe de les castañales.
